International blogging sensation Marko Josipovic is all set to make his mark on Birmingham.
The Croatian teenager is about to start his聽BSc (Hons) Bakery and Patisserie Technology聽at UCB and plans to update the many followers of his site聽聽as he comes to terms with his new life in England.
Marko, aged 18, also has nearly 7,000 followers on Instagram, where his stunning photography has caught the eye of US style icon Martha Stewart who shared one of his posts. But, it is his blog that has seen him hit the headlines in his home country with features on a number of national websites and has a mention on the Facebook page of leading Croatian journalist and presenter Zoran 艩prajc.
Marko knew that he wanted to study abroad after leaving school in Zagreb and is excited at the prospect of starting a new life at UCB.
鈥淢y main goal is to learn the science behind baking, so that one day I can develop my own recipes,鈥� he explained. 鈥淭hen, I鈥檇 love to either open my own bakery, maybe write a cookbook or travel and work for famous pastry chefs.
鈥淚 have a room at The Maltings, so I don鈥檛 know exactly how I鈥檒l be baking, but I鈥檓 sure I鈥檒l figure it out. I will probably find some cheap backgrounds at IKEA, bring my camera of course and continue blogging from my room. I was also thinking of maybe vlogging my whole experience on IGTV.听
鈥淎ll in all, I鈥檓 not completely sure what to expect in the future, but I know it鈥檚 going to be an exciting ride!鈥�
