"I鈥檓 most inspired by making data reveal the reality behind the figures, thus helping to avoid random choices."

I鈥檝e worked hands-on in taxation, auditing, financial and management accounting, and data analysis, meaning that I鈥檓 able to bring theory to life for my students. My industry background means that we鈥檙e able to dive into practical learning activities, case studies, and scenarios that mirror the challenges that students are likely to face in their careers. Students often tell me they appreciate how I use simple, contextual examples to make complex topics clear and engaging.
I鈥檓 a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) professional body, and one of my greatest passions is following the latest industry trends and making sure that my students are kept up-to-date. I want to motivate and engage my students, sparking a love for critical thinking and problem-solving. Plus, I鈥檓 able to open doors for networking and mentoring opportunities within the sector.
One misconception is that our field is all about numbers, when in fact it鈥檚 about processing diverse data to tell a meaningful story and make the best decisions. I鈥檓 most inspired by making data reveal the reality behind the figures, thus helping to avoid random choices.

My proudest moments come from seeing my students succeed and knowing that 聽I鈥檝e made a positive impact on their lives and, in turn, on the world around us. I truly enjoy getting to know each student and supporting them all the way to reaching their professional goals.
One piece of advice I always share with students is to work hard, but remember to balance your academic life with your wellbeing.聽
When I鈥檓 not teaching, you鈥檒l find me exploring entrepreneurship, digital currencies, and trading. Not many people know that I鈥檓 also deeply passionate about creating a safe and sustainable world environment. I contributed to 鈥An empirical Investigation of Financing Small and Medium entrepreneurs' Agricultural technology: The Malawi Case鈥 聽and I can speak Chichewa (a Bantu language spoken in Malawi and across other parts of the world).
