"My clinical background as an NHS podiatrist lets me offer my students hands-on insight into NHS protocols, clinical procedures, and domiciliary care."

I鈥檓 a registered podiatrist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Royal College of Podiatry, specialising in podiatry and foot health. I teach on our Access to Higher Education (Health Professionals) and T Level Health (supporting Adult Nursing) courses.

My clinical background as an NHS podiatrist lets me offer my students hands-on insight into NHS protocols, clinical procedures and domiciliary care. I鈥檓 passionate about being able to help patients regain movement and independence, and I鈥檓 proudest when my work directly transforms someone鈥檚 daily life.

I love seeing my students鈥 commitment to change their lives through Access qualifications, even while often balancing jobs and family. My students tell me that my enthusiasm for the subject shines through in my classes. I encourage students to study whatever they feel passionate about - it makes learning infinitely more enjoyable.

Outside work, you鈥檒l either find me working in my private domiciliary practice, spending time with my family, or taking long walks with my dog. My students know that I鈥檓 partial to an episode of Call the Midwife, and that Coronation Street is my guilty pleasure. And a fun fact about me is that I once worked in a beer research laboratory in Finland!

My motto for life is: 鈥淪uccess is the sum of lots of small steps鈥.
